How Live Tracking Works
If you have dispatched long-distance loads with one eye on a GPS portal and one on the schedule, you already know why this exists.
1. Connect your Samsara account
Connect your Samsara account under Settings and your trucks show up in the platform. No middleware and no CSV exports.
2. Watch trucks on a live map
Truck positions refresh on the Live Tracking map every 30 seconds. Local crews, long-distance loads, trucks headed back to the yard — one map, current positions, no second login.
3. Dispatch with real positions, not guesses
Because GPS lives in the same platform as the operations calendar, dispatchers plan against where trucks actually are. Is the crew close enough to squeeze in the afternoon pickup? Look at the map and decide — do not radio around asking.
4. Answer "where's my crew?" in five seconds
Every mover knows the 9 AM call: "Your truck was supposed to be here at 8." With live positions on the Live Tracking map, whoever answers the phone gives the customer a real answer — instead of "let me call the driver and call you back."

Is this a real Samsara integration or a link-out?
A real integration. Samsara truck locations render on the Live Tracking map inside the platform, so you are not opening a second portal in another tab.
What does dispatch actually see?
The Live Tracking page shows your trucks on a map and lists the drivers on duty, refreshed every 30 seconds. When a customer calls asking where the crew is, the office can answer without calling the driver.
Do I need Samsara hardware?
Yes — the integration reads from your Samsara account, so your trucks need Samsara devices. If your fleet already runs Samsara, connecting it brings live tracking into the platform without new hardware.
Is GPS tracking an extra charge?
Yes. Live GPS Tracking (Samsara) is a paid add-on on Enterprise (price on request). It is not available on Carrier or Professional. You also need your own Samsara account and devices.
