Operations Calendar

See every pick-up and local crew delivery by day across the company, filter the schedule, and read each job's operational status.

The Operations Calendar (sidebar → Operations → Operations Calendar) is the company-wide schedule. Every booked job shows on the days its work happens, so dispatchers, owners and office staff share one picture of the workload. It is part of core operations for every company; the Daily Board, where routes are built, is part of the optional Carrier Dispatch package.

What shows on each day

A job can appear as two cards:

  • a Pick-up card on its pick-up date, whoever does the pick-up (our crew or a carrier);
  • a Delivery card on its delivery date, only for a local delivery our crew does.

A delivery a carrier (trailer driver) handles never shows on the calendar, in-state or not. A local delivery shows only once Customer Service has put a delivery date on it, on the estimate's Dispatch tab or from Ready for Delivery. The dates always come from the booked estimate.

Each card shows the department, the job number, its Pick-up or Delivery tag, the customer, the states it runs between (for example AZ → CA), the move type and size, and the job's operational status. A green chip names the carrier once one is assigned; an amber Awaiting Dispatch chip marks a long-distance job still waiting for one. A cancelled job pulses red. A job that owes storage carries the flag This job owes storage – cannot be dispatched out. — a warning only, nothing is blocked.

Click a card to open the estimate in a new tab.

Each day shows its own count, such as "3 Jobs". The heading shows the period's total jobs (a job with both cards in the month counts once), how many are active, and how many local deliveries there are. These heading counts ignore the filters.

Moving around

Today jumps back to the current month; today's cell is always highlighted. The arrows step a month (or a week) at a time, and Month / Week switch the view. These apply as soon as you click them. Schedule month picks any month; it loads when you click Submit.

While a month loads, the counts show … and the month already on screen stays, dimmed, until the new one arrives. If a month cannot load, the calendar says so and offers Retry instead of showing an empty month.

Filtering

Schedule controls narrow the cards. Change the month, Move type, Pick-ups & deliveries or Job phase, then click Submit (or press Enter) to apply them; until then the calendar shows Changes not applied - click Submit.

  • Move type — All Types, Local, Long Distance, Auto Transport, Commercial or Storage. Local means the pick-up and delivery are in the same state.
  • Pick-ups & deliveries — All, Pick-ups or Deliveries.
  • Job phase — All Phases or one operational status.
  • Find a job — a job number, customer name or phone number. A job number works without its letters in front or its dashes. It filters as you type, with no Submit.

Choose Departments on the right picks one or more departments to see together, at once; All Departments shows everything. Clear filters resets them all. When jobs are waiting for dispatch, an Awaiting Dispatch button shows just those.

Operational status

A booked estimate keeps its commercial status (Booked) and a separate operational status that operations move along as the job progresses. Change it with the status menu on the estimate:

  • Awaiting Dispatch — booked, with no route or pick-up carrier yet.
  • Dispatched — on a Daily Board route or given a pick-up carrier (either one sets this by itself).
  • Picked Up — the goods are on the truck.
  • In Storage — the goods are in the warehouse.
  • Ready for Delivery — ready to go out; the job lists on Ready for Delivery.
  • In Transit — on the road to the delivery.
  • Delivered and Completed — done.
  • On Hold and Cancelled.

Jobs brought in from another system can also show Scheduled. An administrator can stop someone setting Delivered or Completed with the Block Closing Moves or Block Move Completion restriction.

The calendar colors and filters by this status, so the booked estimate is always the one record that says what stage a move is at.

The Operations section also has the Customer Service Calendar. Under Appointments at the top of the sidebar are the company's appointments and the Daily Schedule (the Daily Schedule is part of the Carrier Dispatch package). Move dates live on the booked estimate; the Operations Calendar is where you see them all at once.
