Getting Started

Initial Company Setup

Complete the setup checklist so your company can issue estimates and email customers.

Before your team can send estimates to customers, your company's Super Admin needs to complete the company setup checklist. Until every required step is done, the Super Admin sees an amber banner on every page — "Company setup is incomplete — estimates cannot be issued yet" — with a Finish setup link, and customer estimate links stay blocked. The checklist itself, Finish company setup, lives at the top of the Settings page.

Only the company Super Admin sees the banner and the checklist. Anyone else who tries to send an estimate while setup is unfinished gets the message "Company setup is incomplete. Complete: …" followed by the missing steps, and has to ask the Super Admin to finish them.

The setup checklist

Open Settings from the sidebar. The checklist shows each step, whether it is complete, and an Open settings link straight to the page where you finish it:

  1. Company information — the legal company name, company email, phone, and full street address, on the Company Profile & Branding page.
  2. Company logo — upload the logo that appears on customer documents, on the same page.
  3. DOT and MC numbers — your carrier authority numbers, also on Company Profile & Branding.
  4. Service departments — at least three active service departments, each with its own 1–3 letter code, on the Departments page.
  5. Estimate terms — your Local Move Terms & Conditions and Long Distance Terms & Conditions on Estimate Settings → Terms & Conditions, with Require Terms Checkbox switched on (under Acceptance Rules on the Document Rules tab).
  6. What's Included — the standard services every estimate includes, on the What's Included tab (recommended, but not required to issue estimates).
  7. Terms review confirmation — after saving your terms, the Super Admin presses Confirm terms reviewed on the Terms & Conditions tab. Editing any set of terms later needs a new confirmation.
  8. CRM lead intake — on CRM Configuration, add each lead provider that sends you leads, or press We enter leads manually.
  9. Company email delivery — a working sender, so proposals and links can actually be emailed (see the tips below).

The checklist shows a count such as "6 / 9 complete", and the banner shows "6 of 9 steps complete" and names the next missing steps. When every required step is green, the banner disappears and estimate links can be issued.

Beyond the checklist

Once the required steps are done, most companies continue with:

  • Warehouse Storage Terms & Conditions — on the same Terms & Conditions tab. The storage agreement cannot be signed while these are empty.
  • Tariff Matrix — local, long distance, auto transport, and storage pricing so the estimate builder can auto-price moves.
  • Users & Staff — add your salespeople, dispatchers, and crew, each with the right role.
  • Global Integrations — card processing, lead intake, and the other third-party connections your company uses.

Tips

  • Only the steps marked as required block estimating; you can return to What's Included later.
  • The email step turns green once a sender in Email Integrations shows Connected (you finished Connect Google, or Test delivery passed), or once a team member has connected their own email on My Profile. Saving a sender's details, or setting up the Microsoft 365 workspace, is not enough on its own. See Email Integrations.
  • The email step only stops emails. When every other required step is green, an estimate link created without sending an email still works.
  • If the banner says "Company setup verification is unavailable", contact your platform administrator before issuing estimates.
